Raasay lies to the east of the Isle of Skye and is accessed by ferry from Sconser on Skye.
Getting to the Ferry
By car via Kyle of Lochalsh and the Skye Bridge
From Kyle of Lochalsh cross the Skye Bridge, take the third exit at the roundabout towards Portree (A87) until you reach Sconser. The Caledonian Macbrayne ferry terminal for Raasay is clearly signposted. There is no booking for the ferry - just turn up and get on the next available crossing.
By car via Mallaig and the ferry
to Armadale on Skye
There is regular ferry service from Mallaig to Armadale in the south of Skye. From the ferry terminal, take the A851 northwards to meet the A87. Turn left towards Broadford and continue to Sconser where the ferry terminalis clearly signposted. The journey time from Armadale is about 40 minutes.

The house is a couple of minutes from the ferry.
On leaving the ferry, follow the road uphill and to the right for approximately three-quarters of a mile, passing the Isle of Raasay Distillery and open fields on your left-hand side. You will find Oystercatcher House on your left after the Church and the Manse.
